Currently more than 56 organizations are represented on the Commission on Cancer (CoC). These organizations include medical specialty societies, government agencies, patient advocacy and support groups, and others involved in the care of the cancer patient. Each organization appoints one representative to serve on the CoC for a three-year term with eligibility to serve a second term. Meetings with CoC Member Organization representatives are held twice a year, and the CoC Member Organization Steering Committee is charged with developing, implementing, and evaluating strategies to support enhanced collaborations and communications with CoC member organizations.
